Eight Days in Paradise Encore

| 01.13.18

Encore Performance of “Eight Days in Paradise.”

Oklahoma oilman, Charles Urschel, spent eight days in a remote, rundown farmhouse in the summer of 1933. He was the kidnap victim of the notorius gangster, Machine Gun Kelley and long-time hoodlum, Albert Bates. Held for $200,000 in ransom, this historical dramatization relives those eight days in Paradise, Texas, which would become one of the most famous events in American crime history.

Actors include: Jim Taylor, Rob Little, Bryson Clark, Wayne Smith, Jan Pierce, Adrienne Faulhaber, Chris Hodges; and Slade Shannon, who will play the part of his great-grandfather, Armon. Brenda Jabs will be the moderator; stage manager is Shanna Smith; lighting and sound – Kaya Shannon and Kerry Clower. Writer/Director, Donna Weeden.

All members of Wise County Historical Societies, community groups, and the general public are invited to attend this hour-long, captivating, entertaining, and dramatic event.
