We will meet in November on Tuesday, November 14 at 7:00 PM at the Methodist Church. Though, we usually do not meet in November due to the County-wide meeting (Eight Days in Paradise – Nov. 4 at 6PM), we need to meet and discuss the Festival. We have been unable to meet to get a financial report on how well the Festival did in fund-raising….since so many of us have been tied up with play practice, grand-opening of the museum, etc. We love being busy!
I have asked Jan Pierce to make her presentation about Veteran George Beeson. She was scheduled a few months back and was not able to attend that meeting, so we have had it on hold.
In the mean time, please submit a list of your volunteers and anyone you want to recognize who helped contribute to the Festival this year. Adrienne is very busy, so just submit your list to me and I will compile it in spreadsheet so we can run our big ‘thank-you’ in the local papers. Please send me your lists by this Friday, please.
Don’t forget to get your tickets for “Eight Days in Paradise”, November 4 at 6:00 PM at the G.C. Rann auditorium at the Wise County Heritage Museum. You can buy advance tickets at the Museum (Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10-2); at Hometown Tees (Mon-Fri 8-5); online at http://www.paradisehistoricalsociety.org/eight-days-paradise/ (includes a $1 service fee); or at the door $12. If you would like to volunteer to help with parking, refreshments, clean-up, usher, etc., then let me know, (we have a few positions left)….you get in free!
