The annual Paradise Main Street Festival will be held this week-end, Saturday September 24 from 9 A.M. until 4 P.M.
This popular, local event is held each year on the last Saturday of September and serves as a fund raiser for the Paradise Historical Society. Funds raised from the Paradise Main Street Festival including sponsorship fees, vendor fees, plus auction and raffle proceeds support the events and annual efforts of the Historical Society, such as maintenance of the Paradise Veterans Park, local history events, and a local museum.
Entrance to the event is free to the public and starts at 9:00 AM with events going on all day until 4:00 PM. Car Show registrants can register starting at 8:00 AM. Three new attractions have been added this year: Kiddie Park with rides and activities with the purchase of an ‘all-day bracelet’ for $10; a Washer Tournament, and Blue Ribbon Contest for homemade pies, preserves and canned good. Festival-goers will be entertained all day with live, local talent including bluegrass, old-time rock n roll, community choir and soloists.
Main Street will be lined with vendors selling the wares and handing out information. Food booths will offer all kinds of goodies throughout the day.
Other popular attractions during the Festival include a Quilt Show, Antique/Class Car Show, antique tractor display, an art show, a food court, lots of vendors selling and distributing their wares, silent and live auctions and raffles.
Entry forms are available for download on our website for the washer tournament, Blue Ribbon contest, car show, Vendor and art show displayer.
