THC Subject Marker – Lake Bridgeport World War II Training Site

Dedication for Wise County’s newest THC subject markers.
Public is invited to attend.
Location: U.S. Hwy 380 just West of the Lake Bridgeport Bridge

The marker is the “Lake Bridgeport World War II Training Site” and is located on U.S. Hwy 380 just West of the Lake Bridgeport Bridge. Since the marker is tied to military activities, we are planning the dedication to coincide with the weekly breakfast of the Wise County Veteran’s Group. The marker was sponsored by the City of Runaway Bay and most of the research was done by Dr. Robert Marlett who, as a young boy, witnessed some of the training activities.
