A new event will be added to the Paradise Main Street Festival 2016. For the 10th successive year Paradise Historical Society has sponsored this very popular event. This year’s Festival will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016. The Festival theme is “Eldorado – Paradise Past.”
This year, the Paradise Historical Society announces our first ever Blue Ribbon Dessert Pie, Fruit Preserve/Jelly, Pickled Item, and Canned Item Contest. The Rules are as follows:
1. Products must be entered in the name of the person who made it.
2. This contest is intended for all ages.
3. Each dessert pie must be made from scratch and based in a 9” pie plate/pan. Each pie must include a serving utensil and a cover. You may not use pie filling or a pre-made store-bought crust.
4. Categories: a. Dessert Pie; b. Fruit Preserve/Jelly; c. Pickled Item; d. Canned Item
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons will be awarded in each category – NO PIES THAT REQUIRE REFRIGERATION (i.e. dairy or cream pies) are allowed. Other rules may apply. Please download an entry from the website or from the Paradise Historical Society Facebook page.
This event is free to the public and great fun for the entire family.

Other Festival events include a Car Show, Washer Tournament, Kiddy Park, “The Getaway Gals Trailers”, live entertainment by Local Talent, Art Show, Antique Tractor Show, Quilt Show, lots of Vendor Booths (Arts & Crafts), a Silent/Live Auction, 50/50 Drawing and Raffle Items.
